The son of Col F. W. Bennet R.E. and Mrs Evelyn Bennet, of 'Fairlea'  Northam. Charles was born in Ireland, but lies in St Margarets Churchyard, as his death from pneumonia occured while he was on leave in Northam. It appears that the family beleived that the way the troops were being repatriated contributed to their sons death
