Reginald was a professional soldier who had previously served in the South African War. He was married at Barnstaple in 1909  to Anna Elizabeth Featherstone (nee Robinson) and was Father to Joan and Jack. The 1911 Census shows they were at the Grammer School Plympton St Maurice, but by  February 1915 Probate indicates that the family were then living at 'St Ethelberts' Westward Ho!  

Reginald was also son of the Late Benjamin Featherstone.
