George Joined the Somerset light infantry in March 1915, then transfered to the Norfolk Regiment. They were sent to Mesopotamia in March 1917 and arrived in Basra on12/5/17 George went straight to hospital suffering from punomia from which he died 7 days later.

He was husband to Agnes May Tucker of St Georges Place, The Crescent Taunton, and Son of George and Emily Tucker of Fore Street Northam (1891 Census).  

George's mother Emily later Married a John Moore 

They lie in St Margarets Church yard X2f 2.     (See Genuki Northam. 'Northam Memorial inscriptions'  to find X2f 2)

George was the elder Brother to Reginald also lost August 6th 1914 aboard HMS 'Amphion' probably the first local boy to die on active service
